Educational Presentation in Booth

Definition

Exhibitors with a booth 2,500 square feet or larger may request permission to conduct an educational presentation in their booth during specified hours. These presentations are short lecture presentations on scientific topics that do not include product demonstrations of equipment or company technology. These presentations are not eligible for continuing education credits.

Educational Presentation in Booth Schedule

            Sunday, October 26     11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
            Monday, October 27   11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
            Tuesday, October 28   11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Criteria

Content must complement (and not duplicate) the official scientific program, including workshops, symposia, meet-the-experts, and slide and poster sessions.

A media embargo is in effect on all meeting presentations until the actual day and time of presentation. This embargo applies to scientific information presented in the official program. Program information may not be referred to in an industry-sponsored activity until after the actual presentation has occurred.  All sponsors, agents, and presenters must abide by the embargo policy.

The content of booth presentations must be non-commercial and offer objectivity in the presentation. It is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that proper disclosure is provided to the audience regarding any industry-related financial ties of the faculty and any off-label uses of products discussed.

Booth presentations are not eligible for continuing education credits.

Please Note: If a third party organizer requires exhibitor badges, the badges must come from the exhibiting company’s badge allotment. Payment for badges over the allotted number is the responsibility of the exhibiting company.

Application Review and Notification

An acknowledgement of receipt of the application will be sent via e-mail within 48 hours of submission.

Confirmation letters will be e-mailed within two weeks of receipt of application.

Mailing list rental, registration bag inserts, door drops, and advertisements in the Exhibit Guide are the approved marketing opportunities for educational presentations in a booth.  Refer to the Activity Planner in the right side bar for more detailed marketing information.
